Is It Fair or Not? Woman Denied Boarding for Wearing a Bikini
A 21-year-old woman says she was barred from boarding her flight after showing up at the gate wearing a bikini. Despite explaining her outfit choice, she says she was treated unfairly—sparking a wave of online debate.
Kine-Chan shared the incident on Instagram, where she detailed the situation and her reasoning for wearing the costume. “A very annoying situation happened this weekend,” she wrote. “I tried to board at Navegantes Airport dressed in Rebecca’s cosplay for an event. I already knew I might be running late, so I wore the costume to save time and head straight to my room. But I was told to go home and change because what I had on was not considered ‘appropriate’.”

Her post quickly attracted mixed reactions in the comments. Some users felt the outfit was too revealing for airport travel. One follower commented, “Kine, I love you, but you could’ve worn something easy to slip on—like a wrap dress or even a button-down shirt.”
Others defended her right to express herself through cosplay. “It’s truly disappointing the airport barred you, a talented artist, over a cosplay as incredible as Rebecca’s,” another fan wrote. “Freedom of expression and creativity should be respected.”
